Come and enjoy Greek Food, be entertained by a belly dancer and do Greek dancing afterwards. Retsina and other drinks from Greece and Macedonia are available. Menu includes Assorted Mediterranean Dips, Olives and Fetta Cheese. Choice of: Lamb Souvlaki with Tzatziki, Turkish Bread and Greek Salad, or Grilled Barramundi Fillet with a lemon butter sauce, creamed potato and tossed vegetables, or Chicken Breast on Mediterranean Style Sauce, Prawns, creamed potato and tossed vegetables. Followed by Citrus Tart with Kiwi Fruit and Gin Puree, or Sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch sauce.

11/05/2008 - 10:00amLeisurely Cycle Ride from New Farm to South Bank.

Meet at 10:00am at New Farm Bikes Hire, 77 Merthyr Rd, cnr Brunswick St, New Farm. UBD Map 19 M20.
We’ll hire a few bikes and do some lazy cycling. We'll start at New Farm Park, go along the floating walkway to Eagle St Markets, through the Botanical Gardens and over the Goodwill Bridge to Southbank before returning to New Farm by bicycle or City Cat.
BYO bike, helmet & lock, or hire them for $33/day. Bring water bottle, sunscreen, etc.

Come to the legendary Avanti in trendy Bardon for a fantastic pasta and pizza feast in a great atmosphere.
The banquet will be : STARTERS: Italian Dips served with fresh focccia, garlic pita and crispy lavash bread. MAIN COURSE: 1. SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE with Rich authentic meat sauce. 2.PENNE MILANESE, a vegetarian delight of grilled eggplant, mushrooms, in napoletana sauce. 3.FETTUCINE AVANTI, Pancetta ham, minced chicken, and green peas in a light cream sauce. 4.LINGUINE GENOVESE, fresh homemade creamy pesto 5.SPAGHETTI NAPOLETANA, Avanti’s fresh tomato, garlic and basil sauce. 6.PENNE AI FUNGHI, Fresh button mushroom, garlic, onion, white wine and a dash of cream. Anzac Day Long Weekend - Camping at Elanda Point on Lake Catharaba, North of Noosa.
This campsite beside the lake has many acres of space with good grass cover and all amenities – A shop and yes, there are hot showers! Things to do: canoe on the lake or bushwalk to Harry’s Hut, visit Mapleton Falls, Kondalilla Falls, climb Pomona Mountain, Noosa National Park and Eumundi Markets. Have lunch in the garden of the fine old Apollonian Hotel. Mobs of up to 40 wallabies quietly graze this area. There’s no city nearby, so you’ll see a dark blue starry sky at night. We’ve arranged for the moon to rise over the lake at 8:44pm. Map and full details will be emailed later to intending campers.

Picnic/BBQ and Walk at Slaughter Falls Park, Mt. Cootha UBD Map 158 H12.
We’ll drive to the end of the bitumen road to park. Then we’ll walk up to the Lookout overlooking Brisbane (25 mins). When we return we’ll have a picnic/BBQ alongside the creek.
BYO picnic lunch or meat to BBQ, drinks, picnic rug or CHAIR, sensible shoes, waterproof jacket, etc.

This excellent Turkish restaurant wins a host of top awards year after year! Come very hungry to this one, otherwise you won’t be able to handle it!
Ahmet’s also have the best belly dancer in the State!


Menu:
Turkish Bread baked fresh straight from a wood fired oven. Choice of 4 Dips: Baba ghanoush, hommus, jajik, olive, avocado, hot & spicy & beetroot. Coban Salatsi Tomato, Spanish onion, cucumber, parsley, olives, lemon dressing & shredded fetta cheese. Lamb / Chicken Guvec Lamb / chicken with eggplant, zucchini, onion, carrot, mushrooms, garlic, potato & capsicum. Traditional Turkish style rice with risoni to accompany the guvec. Lamb / Chicken Skewers marinated with Turkish herbs & spices. Freshly cooked on a char grill.


Fully licensed.  Air-conditioned. Parking under South Bank Parklands.  We hope to be given vouchers that entitle us to free parking.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
Venue - The Coffee Club, Park Rd, Milton
This meeting is called to elect a YP Committee for 2008-2009.
If a committee is not elected two motions will be presented, for members present to vote on :-
MOTION 1: To Wind Up the Young Professionals Association
MOTION 2: To Distribute the clubs Assets and Funds as a donation to a charity.
** Please note that for the purposes of a Quorum, the current YP Committee is considered to be only 3 people (President, Secretary & Treasurer) and therefore a Quorum would be 7 people.
** Please note that the vote to Windup the club can be passed by 75% of Ordinary Members present at the meeting, voting affirmative to the motions. Not 75% of all Ordinary Members as previous thought.

Our Members enjoy many
privileges.  This Easter 18 of us are staying at the Islander Noosa Resort,
which offers excellent self-contained villa accommodation at a reasonable cost.
It’s close to many restaurants and is on the Noosa River. During the day you can
hire jet skis and powerboats, go surfing at Main Beach or go bushwalking in
Noosa National Park.

St Patrick’s Day is the day that anybody with a bit of Irish in them, uses it as an excuse to have a drink and party.

If you are heading out this night, we ask that you call by on your way, or use our function as your excuse to go out and celebrate, the cost is minimal for both members and non-members, so there is no excuse.

We will be providing cocktail platters and the first drink.
Members $5 (1 drink + food), Non-members (1 drink + food).

Come and join me for a great night out at Wang Dynasty, where we will feast on a selection of tasty Chinese food. A banquet will be organised if enough people want to participate, banquets start from $32.90 pp, otherwise choose what you want from the menu.
